Sweet Stamp Shop - Use What You Have Challenge #16

Hi everyone!

What started out as summer is rapidly turning into FALL.  Sheesh.  Don't know how THAT happened!

Lots of stuff going on in the studio (like school pictures, Disney scrapbooks, Christmas cards).  Just a little bit of everything.

One thing that's been floating around in my mind for a LONG LONG time is participating in a challenge.  How fun!  A chance to make a random creation (following some guidelines of course) and get those creative juices going.

One challenge I love to "lurk" around is Sweet Stamp Shop's "Use What You Have Challenge".

Time to blow the dust off some tidbits that have been in "storage" in my studio (ahem) and use 'em!

A new challenge is posted every week, and the goal is to use something from your stash.
I decided to jump in this week for Challenge #16 - you can see the challenge HERE.

This is my First Ever Challenge or submission or anything, so here goes!

I have these brads...um, eyelets....well I'm not really sure what they are called:

I bought them a long time ago because I had just never seen them before and they just looked so COOL.

Once they were home, I couldn't think of a single thing I could use them for.  Not one.
So in the drawer they went.  And stayed.

I decided to use them for this challenge because they are almost the strangest bling I own.
Also had lots of leftover die cuts from a previous project.

So here's what I started with:

So here's what I came up with...ta-da!

I had a lot of fun making this card....I think it's very unique and the purple/green really makes it pop.
Plus I had a chance to break out my Copic airbrush system and tint the die-cuts just the shade I needed.

Here's a list of what I used:

Stamps:  Sweet Stamp Shop (Simple Sentiments); Stampin' Up (Baby Bundle)
Ink: Memento by Tsukineko (Tuxedo Black); Tombow (623 purple, 173 green)
Dies: Provocraft
Papers: Bazzil, Provocraft
Stickles by Ranger (Fruit Punch)
various Copic markers + airbrush system

Whew that was fun!  Hope you all have a great evening and happy crafting!
